An Uneventful Walk

The red  moon is out of sight,
Maybe that’s why it’s troubling my mind.
The street lights only illuminate so much,
There are some places even they can’t touch.
I Walk, Walk into the well acquainted night,
I Walk, Walk into the well acquainted night,

The distant black horizon is something I dread,
My solitude is a catalyst to the chaos in my head.

When he sees me, he ceases to bark.
We communicate even  though he can’t talk.
A car passes by and he does what he is used to,
Without an apparent reason a chase is ensued.

And I walk on with some music playing in my mind,
Drifting in and out of spaces one of its kind.
A thought strolls by, leaving me intrigued,
“What You see a part of you that you are unable to see”

Ripping apart the silence, the distant scream redirects the flow,
I think I’ve come too far for one night.
Have to retrace the path that I’ve outgrown,
On this insomniac  street devoid of any signs.
Where the frosty wind still blows,
Giving  me an occasional chill down the spine,
The Smell of tender warmth lets me  know,
The majestic sun is about to hit its prime.
Look up at the radiance and the glow
The chirping reminds me that its time.
