An Uneventful Walk

The red  moon is out of sight,
Maybe that’s why it’s troubling my mind.
The street lights only illuminate so much,
There are some places even they can’t touch.
I Walk, Walk into the well acquainted night,
I Walk, Walk into the well acquainted night,

The distant black horizon is something I dread,
My solitude is a catalyst to the chaos in my head.

When he sees me, he ceases to bark.
We communicate even  though he can’t talk.
A car passes by and he does what he is used to,
Without an apparent reason a chase is ensued.

And I walk on with some music playing in my mind,
Drifting in and out of spaces one of its kind.
A thought strolls by, leaving me intrigued,
“What You see a part of you that you are unable to see”

Ripping apart the silence, the distant scream redirects the flow,
I think I’ve come too far for one night.
Have to retrace the path that I’ve outgrown,
On this insomniac  street devoid of any signs.
Where the frosty wind still blows,
Giving  me an occasional chill down the spine,
The Smell of tender warmth lets me  know,
The majestic sun is about to hit its prime.
Look up at the radiance and the glow
The chirping reminds me that its time.

Golden Horizons

Bewildered I am by your gaze
At ease I feel
Looking at your face

I see you like no one else does
Our talks will never be heard
I'll hide you from this world

I haven't met you
Yet you know me so well
I hope this breeze won't cease
And I'll float forever in your scent

Will you dive with me
Into the golden horizons
That dusk bleeds into

I've roamed these woods for so long
Just to hear this sweet Nightingale's song

Familarity

The earth has turned And come back To the place It started once The seeds I threw Have grown into a tree Withstood seasons Autumned out hubris I never thought That This day would come But now that the Reshuffling done I feel home Familiaritys' returned The stream Trickling downhill Feels alive Glistens in moonlight -Nilay S. Metamorphosis

Sun shining outside Pitch black the night within Heart so heavy It can hardly be carried anymore Throat choking up With the words I never spoke Once a promising future Metamorphosize Into a morbid sight The hammer of my silence Builds sullen dream Breaks weakening will My worst fears Wont let me sleep Longest night Goriest fight Bleeding from within Scars that can't be seen

Flight

You'll be gone
For who knows how long
And I'll be humming this song
With no one to sing along

The door is left unanswered
For the one who didn't ring
Two sullen backs lean
On opposite sides of the door
Both floating at the brink

A part still entangled
Incites a chaos
Leave thoughts wrangled
A part flies independent
Building castles
That were once abandoned

A bird so eager to fly
Born to soar the sky
Can't let a branch
On which it stayed for a while
Make it cry
Only after leaving the tree
Surrendering to the gravity
Will the true ability
Of its wings
Ever be realized
Each flap reminiscent of the joy and pain
That can't be felt without closing it's eyes
Each flutter will rupture
The chains that held it back
The chains rusting through time
Who were once strong
To hold the bird
But never enough
To confine
It's unyielding will to try

A truant finds home
Against the golden canvas of the setting sun
The cotton clouds echoing the brilliant light
Of the fragrant madrigal chirped
And the world in silence for once
Will witness the magnificence
Of the bird finally in flight
